Supplemental information
Snowmobile North Dakota is contracted by the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department to manage North Dakota's snowmobile program which involves overseeing the snowmobile safety and trail programs. This includes securing land leases, providing trail insurance, inspecting and monitoring trails, law enforcement, and providing snowmobile safety information to the public. These trail operations are funded through the state snowmobile fund. However, a portion of the annual costs in maintaining the snowmobile trails are paid by the local clubs and trail associations involved with Snowmobile North Dakota.

Description
Data was collected in WGS84 with a Trimble GeoExplorer 3c with an accuracy mode of Code and a recording interval of 10 seconds. PDOP mask was 6.5, SNR mask was 4.5, and Elevation mask was 15 degrees. GPS software used was Trimble Pathfinder 2.8. All data was differentially corrected by postprocessing. Correction data was obtained from the National Geodetic Survey web site (http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/CORS/Data.html). The shapefile received from the ND Parks and Recreation Department was imported into a file geodatabase and then that data was imported into ArcSDE.
