Description

This map shows the distribution of geologic units in the state of North Dakota. The coverage contains only area features. Linear features, such as beach ridges, eskers, ice margins, are contained in the GeolSurfLinear_line coverage. The map is in geographic coordinate system as to be readily overlain by USGS DLG's. The original data is derived from the State of North Dakota 1:500000 Geologic Map by Lee Clayton.
