The MPO is comprised of the City of Bismarck, City of Mandan, City of Lincoln, and portions of Burleigh and Morton Counties in North Dakota. The LiDAR data was collected on 03 May 2009 using the Optech Gemini ALTM sensor. The primary target area is the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and vicinity (approximately 400 square miles). The project will successfully provide leaf-off DEM geo-referenced digital orthoimagery of the project area as defined by the MPO. The purpose of the MPO, a certified planning entity in the State of North Dakota, is to provide a forum for public officials, citizens, and other interested groups to establish policies and plans for effectively addressing various metropolitan transportation issues. The MPO has a planning process that supports metropolitan community development and social goals. These plans and programs shall lead to the development of an integrated, inter-modal metropolitan transportation system that facilitates the efficient, economic movement of people and goods. Ayres Associates utilized TerraSolid applications to create a 16-foot cell raster image generated from intensity values (a representation of the pulse return magnitude) within the originating LAS file of the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) project area. Intensity values are used from the ground, low vegetation, medium vegetation, high vegetation, water, and default (unclassified) point classes. Spatial consistency of the intensity image meets National Map Accuracy Standards for 1"= 100' scale mapping and are tiled by PLSS sections.Ayres Associates prepared FGDC compliant metadata for each
